TWO SOULS

"One month more " said Sharanya as she hugged Nirvan. Tears started rolling down her cheeks. So many years of togetherness and now they had to depart.
It was not marriage that had brought them closer. It was the 10 years of courtship ,the tiff ,the late night calls and the little little efforts  put in which led to this attachment over the years. They knew they were soulmates destined to be together forever but now God had some other plans for them.

Nirvan kissed her forehead trying to console her saying "Baby its just a matter of few months"..but her tears didn't stop.It wasn't few months ,it was 9 months almost an year that Sharanya has to spend alone in India to pursue her career. Nirvan means so much to her. She had never imagined staying away from him.All these years she was dreaming of a beautiful married life with her love always by her side but reality was far ahead of her dreamland.

Sharanya and Nirvan loved each other deeply but both had a different outlook towards life. Sharanya was an extremely emotional and loving girl who believed in going that extra mile to make her loved ones happy. She knew she would leave no stone unturned to make her loved ones feel special and longed. Nirvan was practical and believed all relationship needed some space. His circumstances had made him so. Nirvan had now moulded himself into a rugged clay. He was struggling from inside, fighting his own battles. He had witnessed a very tough period in the juvenile phase of his life . His father had met with a dreadful accident and he being the only son had to support his family single-handedly. He was posted in a foreign land since one year and this one year had given him enough experiences to metamorphose into a tough man. Only Sharanya knew his deepest thoughts, He had a younger sister to get married,an ailing father and a struggling mother. He knew money was important and the only thing that could satiate all his needs was his 9 to 6 desk job. He started giving more and more time to work as he wanted his hard work to pay-off well. Staying away from family in a foreign land is so difficult when you have a bundle of needs to cater to. The problems had made him so tough that emotions played a lower priority in his life. He was always preoccupied with his work. It was just 3 months of their married life,Sharanya craved for Nirvan's attention, not that Nirvan loved her any less.He was the same loving caring dotting boyfriend that he used to be earlier. The only difference was,he had given up expressing his feelings. He had cocooned himself .He feared his tensions, thoughts would be read and he would be judged. It was Sharanya who knew him in and out. Sharanya had become more closer to Nirvan at the time of his father's treatment when she supported his family and took active part in the journey towards his recovery even in the absence of Nirvan. People had started judging Nirvan for not returning back to India when his family needed his maximum support but not all people knew that he wanted a lumpsome of money for his father's brain surgery  which wouldn't have been possible had he returned back. The feeling of staying away from family at the time of crisis just to overcome it is far more excruciating than being a part of the crisis. He had confidence in Sharanya that she would manage things well. Sharanya had given him the confidence to stay back and continue his job.She had promised to nurture his father as a daughter and do whatever Nirvan would have done for his family.Meanwhile Nirvan supported her mentally, gave her all the strength she needed to balance her job as well as her responsibility towards her would be father in law. With time she started becoming more and more closer to his family and had soon become the cynosure of all eyes.
After months of struggle and hardship came the day of her happiness,it was her wedding..the day she had dreamt of all these years of her courtship. She prayed to God for a happy future. She had no reasons to cry anymore. She was getting married to the love of her life. On the first night of her marriage she promised Nirvan that she would never leave him alone and would be his biggest support system but GOD's plan are always different than what humans propose. Sharanya had to leave Nirvan alone for so many months. She wanted to support Nirvan financially. She knew being independent would solve some of his problems though not completely. It was a tough decision for Sharanya.

Sharanya murmured to Nirvan "Baby,I wish life was easy.. how long will GOD test our patience . I don't wanna go back" as she recalled the time of her struggle and hardship. Her sobs were becoming more louder and louder. Nirvan had already moistened his eyes. Nirvan knew what all Sharanya had done for his family, how she had spent most of her night sitting in the lobby of the hospital and sometimes spending all her night on a chair keeping an eye on his father who was on IV's with his hands all tied up to the sides of his bed and then rush to her office in early hours of morning. The list was endless. He knew Sharanya had fullfilled his space and how she played an important role in his father's recovery. He wanted to hug Sharanya calm her down and ask her to stay back but he was unable to break his self created wall around himself and express what was going on his head. This was a story of every night .The pillows and Nirvan's arm were a witness to Sharanya's tears .Sharanya wanted to spent the remaining days with her husband happily and wholeheartedly . She wanted to make every moment special but Nirvan had refrained himself from showing any emotions. Nirvan and Sharanya had promised themselves to be strong enough and face all odds of life in their own different ways, Nirvan by not showing his weaker side to Sharanya and Sharanya by always being there for him not just in physical terms but in every possible way..
